Day 3 of Recovery + Rest ❤️‍🩹

Updated: May 18, 2022

Thank you for all the love and prayers!

I’ve been doing GREAT all things considered. I’m off all the heavy meds and painkillers! Yeah! Feeling a lot better.

Laying horizontal is very common throughout the day right now.

Sitting upright.

Minimal movement.

Zero walking as of now.

Empowering my healing.

“Drinking LOTS of Kangen water. Change your water, change your life. The power of pure water is so healing.”

Listening To my body

I am being patient with myself, and removing expectations of my healing progress. Most importantly, listening to my body and giving it the TLC it needs.

Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate. Water is so important for our bodies to function; and the quality of our water is so important for our bodies to thrive.

The quality of your water matters. If you start to do research, just at a surface level, about water and the chemicals and toxins that come out of your tap at home, it will start to make sense why you can drink 8 glasses a day and still feel dehydrated, have low energy or feel bloated after drinking your water.

Your body is not absorbing the water the way it should and needs to for your body to operate at an optimal level.

I invested in a Kangen water machine two years ago now, and now I cannot imagine life without my Kangen. To the point that when I moved to Costa Rica, I brought my Kangen in my carry-on suitcase onto the plane!

The power of pure water is incredible. It has the ability to cleanse, flush, and heal the body. Knowing I was going to be in the recovery center in San Jose, 3 hours away from my home, I packed a ton of water with me to bring so I would have this incredible water post my surgery.

Of course I am having my coconut waters, ginger + turmeric juices too! 🍊 🥥

So much is shifting right now in a cleansing and beautiful way! ❤️🙏🏽

plan for your recovery

“You need to prepare to heal post surgery. Plan for it.”

Surgery is a back adjustment on the body, and depending on the type of Explant surgery you have could result in your healing time to be longer given the invasiveness of the surgery.

I had En Bloc + Total Capsulectomy with U-Flip + Lift. With this procedure the recovery time is a solid 1 month. No walking, no driving, no lifting, no raising your arms, no exercising of any kind, no hanky panky lol, nothing. You are needing to relax and be gentle with your body to allow to heal properly.

I made a list. A long list of things I wanted to get done and accomplished in this 1 month of healing. One of them was launching my blog :)

From books, podcasts, online businesses (building, revamping, launching), taking an online course, meditate more, journal more, etc. This is the perfect opportunity to do things for yourself that you have put on the back burner or that you "haven't had time to do."

questions?

Have you ever thought about what is in your implants? I really didn't until 6-7 months ago. Then everything changed.

Ask me anything. I am happy to share what I have learned and what I can tell you from my experience.

Have you had Explant surgery? I would love to learn about your decision and journey! Comment below, or send me a DM on IG @ShaeInvidiata
